Mr Hwang Jae Myeong spoke on “Walking in newness of life in Christ” based on Colossians 3: 5– 11. The three points in Renewing Ourselves in Christ are: 1) Dying to Sins (Col 3 : 5-9a), 2) Taking off the old self and putting on the new self (Col 3 : 9b– 10) 3) Being a member of the new humanity in Christ (Col 3:11). |

Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies Our deepest condolences to Mrs Soh Hiang Jamir (MCS,1999) whose mother went home to be with the Lord on 28 May 2009 in Kuching, Malaysia. We praise God for her mother’s salvation and her baptism on 22 May 09. Please pray for the bereaved family. Soh Hiang is the wife of Mr Peter Jamir (MCS, 2009). BGST Spiritual Retreat |

As the inaugural BGST Conference is focused on the spiritual formation of the pastoral care-givers, this retreat is designed to allow us to push to the side the externalities of our faith: church programmes, church growth, career advancement, ministry, skills upgrade etc. The retreat will be a time where each person takes stock of his or her spirituality and communion with the God. He is the One who called us first to Himself before commissioning us to service. The Triune God of Grace is the One with whom we come to meet, speak and be spoken to. The theme of a quieted soul seeks to highlight a fundamental posture of rest, to learn (re-learn?) this posture of repose as under-shepherds resting in and renewed by the Presence of the Chief Shepherd.
