He intends to study towards a Master of Divinity in BGST. His life verse is Galatians 2:20: ‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in this body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’

Chapel Notes

At the last week’s chapel we warmly welcomed as our chapel speaker an alumnus who has become a full time Lecturer at Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Tong Ming Hung (MDiv, 2002) spoke on ‘An Encouragement from Paul’ based on Acts 20:17-36. He drew out the following six points:

  1. Serve with Humility (v.18-19)
  2. Preach without Hesitation (v.20-21)
  3. Complete with Determination (v.22-24)
  4. Shepherd with God’s words (v.28-31)
  5. Demonstrate love through Giving (v.33-36)

The message was a good reminder for both theological students and full-time God’s servants. Ming Hung concluded that Paul’s message encourages us to live transparent lives that impact others and to commit ourselves to the gracious words of God that can equip us to face the challenges in completing the task of testifying the gospel, and of ministering to the need of our sheep.
