Join the Gideon's Army

Gideon's ArmyThe LORD said to Gideon, “With the three hundred men . . .
I will save you”
(Judges 7:7).

Biblical Graduate School of Theology has established itself as a credible, quality theological institution in Singapore. We praise God for the following blessings:

  • We have a dedicated faculty, competent and willing to give their best in equipping students to serve in churches and para-church organizations.

  • We are guided by a Council whose combined wisdom and zeal in managing our School is second to none.

  • Our students come from a wide spectrum of the Christian public and from many mainline and independent churches: we thank God for sending them to us to be trained not only as co-workers in their home churches but as witnesses to Him in the marketplace.

  • Pastors, other Christian leaders, and many individuals have been assuring us that we are doing a good work as we seek to equip the whole people of God for service.

But something has happened which threatens the very existence of BGST. We have reminded ourselves time and again that God's work will never be closed because of shortage of funds. But the urgency and reality is that our 'financial visibility' crawls on a monthly basis. We need an immediate and regular source of support.

  • As in the story of Gideon's Army (Judges 7), we need to find 300 'soldiers' who can commit to a monthly support of only $250. These can be individuals or groups, or even churches. For those who prefer to give in quarterly or annual amounts, that works out to be respectively either $750 per quarter or $3,000 per year.

  • We have moved to cheaper rental premise at the Union Industrial Building in Jalan Pemimpin directly opposite Marymount MRT. We are implementing other cost-cutting measures. We are renting out the premises we own at Tanjong Pagar Road until the time is right for us sell these, repay all interest-free loans, and we hope to secure a more permanent campus for our operations.

Will you give us a helping hand? If you believe in what BGST is doing, come and stand with us. Send your pledge immediately, together with or followed up by your gift. By faith we know that God who has begun a good work at BGST will enable it to continue it from strength to strength.

Our Appeal
By faith you can covenant to be one of the three hundred soldiers of our very own 'Gideon's Army' by pledging a monthly gift of $250. You can double your gift to $500 if the good Lord lays it on your heart to give more. This will enable others who can only give a lower amount to have the joy of joining this recruitment of a faithful core of 300 soldiers. We are praying to Almighty God to bless us with 300 faithful supporters giving varying amounts monthly. Please respond as soon as possible. We thank God for you!

Yours together in the Lord’s Army,
Dr Quek Swee Hwa, Principal, BGST
