GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN STUDIES

Church-based Lay Training in collaboration with
Yishun Christian Church (Anglican) & Mt Carmel Bible-Presbyterian Church.

INTRODUCTION
The Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies is a non-formal education designed for church-based lay training. It aims to provide the People of God opportunities to interact with Christians from different churches and backgrounds,

• To reflect biblically on issues impacting Christian beliefs and lifestyle
• To desire active lay involvement in the church, marketplace and mission field
• To be better equiped for effective service
• To continue learning to enrich one's spiritual growth and development

WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAMME INCLUDE?
We offer courses in:

• Exploring Biblcal Themes
• Exploring Theological Themes
• Forming Christian Spirituality
• sharpening Skills for Ministry
• Tentmaking*

Participants can select a total of 7 modules to complete the Graduate Certificate. Only 2 modules can be selected from the TENT programme.

*The Tentmaking modules will be offered at 31 Tanjong Pagar Road.

TRANSFER OF CREDITS
Reciepents of the Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies will be awarded 4.5 credits as Electives towards the BGST Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies with payment of residue tuition fee. It applies only to participants who enroll for credits and with the necessary entry requirements for the Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies.

COMPLETION OF THE GRADUATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Minimum attendance of 6 hours out of the 8 hours per module is required.

• Must complete the programme in 4 years.
• Must complete assignments of 1,250 to 1,500 words in the forms of essays, papers, case studies, exams, quizzes, etc.
• Must obtain a GPA of 2.75 to graduate.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• A Baptized Christian
• Active member in his/her church
• Work experience

ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN STUDIES

• Holds an accredited Bachelor's degree
• Applicants without an undergraduate degree may apply as mature student:
  • A polytechnic graduate
  • GCE 'A' Level or its equivalent
  • At least 30 years old

*No educational requirements for non-certificate programme or participants who enroll in selected modules.

TUITION COST

Graduate Certificate Programme Students

• Tuition - $60.00 per module

Audit Students (Non-Certificate Programme)**

• Registrants - $40.00 per module
• BGST Alumni/Students - $30.00 per module

**A certificate of attendance may be issued.
