Chapel Summary

20th_ann-120thann-3Last week's Chapel was a special 20th Anniversary Chapel, as this was Chapel service closest in date to the anniversary of our registration as a society.

This is the first of many events this year marking BGST's 20th birthday. The faculty, staff, and current students were joined by many friends, supporters, former faculty and alumni. We enjoyed the proverbial walk down memory lane via a media presentation of some significant events in our history, 20thann-4reminiscing (and laughing) about where BGST made 20thann-2its home over the years, and how we all looked all those years ago. Our principal Dr Quek then gave a homily from Psalm 119, reminding us to treasure the Word of God. With this appropriate exhortation, we all proceeded to partake a sumptuous meal prepared by friends and supporters. Look out for the coming 20th Anniversary Events. We look forward to more of you joining us!

Changes to Course Schedule
Please be informed that the course "The Lamb, the Dragon & the Holy City: A Study of the Book of Revelation (NT363, 1.5 cr) by Mr Quek Tze-Ming has been rescheduled to Term 2 (13 Sept - 20 Nov). More details of the new dates and times will be available later.

In the Chapel Summary of Last Week's BTW (Issue 15, 13-19 April), we inadvertently left out an important aspect of our speaker, Mickey Chiang's presentation, "Losing our Wows." Mickey indeed gave a detailed explanation in scientific terms, in the scientific language of today, of what God actually did in Genesis 1. This science-based account was to equip Christians to rebut the anti-Creation claims of unthinking scientists, and to win them over to Christ.
