On behalf of BGST Council, Faculty and staff, we would like to thank all our sponsors, students and friends for taking the time to join us for our recent Thanksgiving Dinner at Raffles Country Club. We had an enjoyable time catching up with all of you and sharing with you our vision and plans for the year ahead.
2014 will see BGST offering a series of Public Lectures and programs based on the theme, History and Spirituality. We start on 3 Jan 2014 (8 pm), where Dr Lai Pak Wah will give a Public Lecture at Redemption Hill Church, addressing the heritage of the Church Fathers: Ancient Wisdom for Everyday Spirituality – The Spiritual Legacy of the Church Fathers. Thereafter, Dr Bruce Winter will be in town in April to teach courses on the Book of Acts, 1st and 2nd Peter. Dr Winter will also be giving a public lecture on New Testament spirituality called The Promise Keeper in Acts (venue to be confirmed). Come 1 Jul, Prof Gerald McDermott will join us for a week’s lecture on the legacy of Jonathan Edwards. He will round up our History and Spirituality lectures by speaking on Testing the Spirits: Jonathan Edwards, spiritual discernment and global Christianity (venue to be confirmed).
On 3-13 Jun 2014, BGST will also launch our first ever Church History Tour called In the Footsteps of the Fathers: Church History from Rome to Milan. An educational tour for all ages, the Church History tour will see participants visiting cities like Rome, Vatican City, Assisi, Siena, Florence, Pisa, Ravenna, Venice, Verona and Milan to appreciate their rich historical and artistic legacies. Besides tours of some of the most famous historical sites and art museums (e.g. Vatican Museum and Uffizi Gallery), participants will also get to take in the natural beauty of Tuscany Wineries and Lake Como. The tour package is almost Full Board and will cost S$4,950.00 for twin-sharing adults. Interested parties can visit website for further details. They should also note that, due to fluctuations in air ticket prices, this price is only valid till Dec 15. Thereafter, there may be further changes to the prices.
Apart from these, please also note that BGST will be holding our Open House on 15 Mar. Interested students can join us then to find out more about BGST’s vision and programs in the near future. As for our Convocation, it will be held, as usual, on the 4th Saturday of May, i.e., 24 May 2014 afternoon.

We thank God for the advancement in technology. Nowadays, many tasks can be accomplished faster online at our convenience. BGST has also refined its method for students to sign up for courses. With effect from the new Semester 2, AY2013 – 14, we encourage all students to register for courses via our new Moodle Access system. With this automated system, anyone could sign up for courses at any time, at his/her own convenience, without having to appear in our premises physically. Therefore, we will be replacing the present online registration form in our website with Moodle. We hope all students can embark on this new and faster way to register for courses in the new year.
