Certificate in Learning and Teaching (CLT)

12 credits
Some Christians hesitate to take on teaching responsibilities because they feel their skills or knowledge are inadequate. Others are already in teaching roles but wish they had more innovative tools and strategies to apply. The CLT has been created with these challenges is mind. Students who complete the CLT will be equipped with a variety of teaching skills. Not only will they be able to discern the different learning styles and needs of their faith community, but they will also learn how to impart biblical and spiritual truths to others.

The CLT is right for you if:
  • You are new to the role of teaching and want to be equipped with skills and practices of teaching
  • You are an experienced teacher who would like a refresher, or would like to gain new skills
  • You are transitioning to a new teaching role (e.g. from children’s group to adult cell group)
Students can choose to take more than one BGST Certificate. To do so, overlapping courses may be substituted by courses from the same course category.
