About this course
Calvin’s Institutes, published between 1536 and 1559, is one of the great classics of Christian theology.
Today, almost 500 years later, it is still widely used and there are three different English translations in print. This course will begin with a lecture which will examine the historical Calvin and the development of the Institutes over twenty-five years. The remaining eight sessions will be devoted to engaging with selected portions of the text.
