NT209-SPLThe Gospel Of Matthew

NT209-SPL : The Gospel Of Matthew (1.5 Credit)
Academic Year : all year round
About this course
The Gospel of Matthew was the most popular of all four New Testament Gospels in the early church, to a large degree because of its practical ethical teaching in a very unethical world. It can still serve the same purpose in the 21st century. This course works through Matthew, chapter-by-chapter, highlighting its most important teachings, exploring its structure, focusing on key interpretive controversies, and examining its distinctive contributions to the canon of Scripture, all with a view to how practical Christian obedience can make a difference in our world today.
