Level 2: Current Serial Area next to the OPAC and POS counters.


The current serial area is on level 2 (next to the loan and point-of-sales (POS) counters and the bound serial area is on level 1 (near to the standing Online-Public-Access-Catalogue (OPAC). The newspaper rack is located on level 1 in the Showroom.

The current serials are the latest issues of a title. Completed issues making up a volume or two will usually be send for binding. The completed bound volume will be kept in the bound serial area.

They are all shelved in alphabetical order. Signs with the serial listing are displayed in the bound serial area to assist you in locating the title.

A total of 74 serial titles are currently subscribed in print format.

This print collection is further enhanced with219 online full-text titles. These are available in American Theological Library Association Serials (ATLAS) via EBSCO Host. These resources are available to us 24/7 by donor who is also our alumni.

Locating Serials

  1. Serial titles, volumes and issues are searchable from BGST search catalogue.
  2. To search by subjects or article titles, members are to use American Theological Library Association (ATLA) Religion Index via EBSCO Host. To access these search tool, memebrs are to send an email to lib@bgst.edu.sg requesting for log-in access to the database.This log-in also allow access to the 219 online full-text serial titles.
  3. We also have a serial compilation list that will help you to locate serials in Singapore Theological Schools (e.g. Singapore Bible College (SBC), Trinity Theological College (TTC) and Theological Centre for Asia (TCA) but not available in BGST (discover here).
  4. Finally, please approach the library staff.

Loan Policies

The serial collection in print format is not available for loan. The online full-text version may be copied, saved or printed out for your research needs.
