Master in Master of Arts in Theology and Interdisciplinary Studies  MA(TIS)

60 credits
Accredited Degree

The Master of Arts in Theology and Interdisciplinary Studies [MA(TIS)] is for students looking to deepen their learning beyond the certificate and diploma programmes. The MA(TIS) consists of broad-based training. Our MA(TIS) graduates will be competent in engaging Scripture, Christian Tradition (including Theology, History, Spiritual Discernment), and Interdisciplinary Studies. They can nurture themselves and others in Christlikeness to live out their calling in Church and the Marketplace.

The MA(TIS) forms two-thirds of the Master of Divinity (MDiv) programme.

Note: Students who are currently doing the Masters in Christian Studies (MCS) programme may continue in that programme, or change to the MA(TIS). If they choose to remain, all the courses that are required for the MCS will continue to be offered. If they choose to change programmes, all the modules that they have done so far will be carried over into the new programme. (No fee will be charged for this programme change.)

The MA(TIS) is right for you if:

  • You want more advanced-level training
  • You want to dig deeper into: Scripture, Christian Tradition (including Theology, History, Spiritual Discernment), and Interdisciplinary Studies
  • You plan to remain in the marketplace but want to grow your understanding of the Christian faith
