Theological education for every Christian

At BGST, we believe theological education is not only for pastors and full-time ministry workers. It is for every Christian who desires to be grounded in God’s Word, grow in faith, serve the Church faithfully, and live as Christ’s ambassador wherever God has placed them.

For the past 37 years, this has been at the heart of the Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST).

Our hope is to see Christians equipped to support their pastors, serve and lead faithfully in their churches, and bring God’s love and wisdom into their workplaces and communities.

More than a seminary

As the needs of Christians have grown and changed, BGST has also been seeking new ways to serve.

Today, our learning community includes not only postgraduate students, but also marketplace professionals, ministry leaders, and lay Christians who desire to deepen their faith and be better equipped for ministry and everyday life.

Alongside our postgraduate programmes, we offer spiritual formation and direction retreats, leadership workshops, and short digital learning courses. Through these flexible and biblically grounded pathways, we hope more Christians can access theological education without having to step away from their work, families, or ministries.

The cost behind accessible theological education

Covered by tuition fees

Made possible largely through the generosity of individuals and partners

As an independent evangelical school, BGST does not receive government funding. Tuition fees currently cover about 20% of the actual cost of providing our theological education.

The remaining cost is made possible largely through the generosity of individuals and partners who believe in the importance of equipping Christians for faithful service.

This support allows us to keep our programmes accessible while continuing to invest in thoughtful, biblically grounded education for the Church and the marketplace.

It is with this need in mind that we are launching the 150 for 150 Campaign.

150 partners. $150 a month. 3 years.

We are seeking 150 partners who will prayerfully consider giving $150 a month for three years.

Each partnership, together with the gifts of others, will help BGST continue making theological education accessible to Christians across different seasons and spheres of life.

Your support will help us

Affordable theological education

Keep theological education affordable by bridging the gap between tuition fees and the actual cost of providing our programmes.

Practitioner-faculty

Support our practitioner-faculty, who bring together biblical and theological knowledge with experience in ministry and the marketplace.

New courses and training

Develop new courses and training that respond to the changing needs of churches, ministries, and Christians in the workplace.

Every partnership matters. Together, these regular gifts can provide BGST with greater stability to plan ahead, develop meaningful programmes, and continue serving Christians who desire to grow and serve faithfully.
